A Return To Ourselves

The energy we experience throughout our day has a tendency to pull us away from our core being and our place of connectedness. In this grounding and revitalizing class, we will connect back to our bodies using rhythmic movements and nourishing breathwork to clear out anything we no longer need, bringing us back to the present moment. Each 1.5-hour class includes a guided meditation and transformative gong session to seal our practice and ensure a return to our most authentic selves. Relaxation Yoga

Yoga styles of Viniyoga, Restorative, and Yin Yoga are combined in this therapeutic yoga class. A grounding breath practice introduces a series of deep relaxation poses.

MORNING ELEVATION

Start your morning right and awaken your Kundalini energy with this gentle yet invigorating class complete with breathwork, movement, and meditation. We will work to align our mental, physical, and spiritual bodies through these modalities so that we can take on our day from a place of balance and grace. When we operate from this state of being, all things begin to flow freely and we can move throughout our day with ease and joy. Heighten your awareness, raise your overall energy, and experience deeper levels of consciousness in this 1.5 hour class. All levels welcome.

In the yogic technology, there are masculine and feminine energies that exist in all human beings, regardless of gender. Mandeep will lead an experience of exploration into your Devine sensual-self to elevate and inspire creativity, balance, and Self-Empowerment.

SADHANA

Sadhana means daily spiritual practice. It is the foundation of all spiritual endeavors. Sadhana is your personal, individual spiritual effort. It is the main tool you use to work on yourself to achieve the purpose of life. ⁣ Before you face the world each day, do yourself a favor—tune up your nervous system and attune yourself to your highest inner self. To cover all your bases, it will include exercise, meditation, and prayer. ⁣

HOW DOES KUNDALINI YOGA DIFFER FROM OTHER FORMS OF YOGA?

Kundalini Yoga is dynamic in its practice, vast in practical information and powerful in its experience. It incorporates the physical, mental and spiritual aspects of yoga into one cohesive and integrated system. It has a much broader emphasis on breathing, meditation, hand positions or mudras, chanting or mantra, and spirituality.

I am new to kundalini yoga, how do I find a beginner’s class?

All of our classes accommodate all levels! We are always welcoming brand new Yogis, just tell your teacher that you’re new and they’ll be happy to guide you along.

Why do you wear white? Do I need to wear white to practice?

Kundalini Yoga origins taught that wearing all white clothing expands our auric radiance by at least one foot. A strong aura gives us a strong and solid identity and projection and negative influences are automatically filtered. However, it is never required in class.

What should I expect from a class?

A Kundalini Yoga class is made up of the following elements:
Tuning In: When we practice Kundalini Yoga, we tune in by chanting ‘Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo’, connecting us to the purity of the infinite teacher living within each of us.

Breath (Pranayama): Breath is life energy itself. When we learn how to breathe consciously, we can calm our minds and master all aspects of our lives.

Kriya: A Kriya is an exact, dynamic combination of postures (asana), breathing and sound – a complete system that balances body, mind and soul, and increases mental clarity and physical vitality.

Meditation: Meditation brings awareness and control of our thoughts. Using mantra (sacred sound currents repeated aloud or silently) and mudra (sacred gestures) we can clear negative patterns and connect with our higher consciousness.

What Should I Wear?

Ideally, loose and comfortable clothing made of natural fibers. As the class progresses you may become warm, so having layers is often useful. Bringing a shawl or blanket will keep you warm in the relaxation and meditation segments of the class.

What are the benefits of The Gong?

The gong is one of the oldest instruments and has been used for healing for thousands of years. The vibration of the gong balances our glandular system, it aligns and balances the chakra system (energy centers in the body) and slows down the brain waves.
